Srinagar: The patrolling team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was attacked by militants on Wednesday morning in Sopore, Jammu. In this attack, a soldier of the army martyred while 3 soldiers were seriously injured. A common citizen has also died in the firing. However, during this time his 3-year-old grandson along with the deceased citizen was saved.

On Thursday, the police released a statement saying that Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind this attack. The citizen killed in the attack is identified as Bashir Ahmed Khan, 65 years old. The police informed the media that he was taking his grandson in the morning for a long drive from Srinagar to Sopore area of North Kashmir, where he was going to take stock of the progress of construction work in one of his projects. But he died after being shot in the attack.

Police said that a picture of a 3-year-old child has come up in the media, which the Indian soldier has taken in his lap. According to the information, this is the same child whose grandfather died in this terrorist attack. The child is so small that he did not understand anything. The child's life was saved during this attack, but his grandfather died.
