Bengaluru: According to Kamal Pant, Commissioner of Police (CP) Bengaluru, Puneeth Rajkumar's last rites are likely to be performed on Saturday. Fans of Kannada actor Sree Kanteerava gathered at Bengaluru's Sree Kanteerava Stadium to pay their last respects before his final rites, which will be performed with state honours shortly after his daughter arrives from the United States.
"The next stage of security arrangements will be made based on the decision made by Puneeth Rajkumar's family. When the final rites are performed, the family will make the decision. Puneeth died on Friday at the age of 46 after suffering a cardiac arrest. After experiencing chest pain, he was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru, where he died. His mortal remains were moved to the stadium for public viewing, where a large crowd of fans gathered to see their favourite actor one last time. To keep the crowd under control, a large police force has been stationed at the stadium.
Puneeth's death shocked the entire country, and several well-known Bollywood and South film actors, including Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Anil Kapoor, have expressed their condolences.
