You all know that Ranu Mondal, who became famous overnight by singing the song 'Ek Pyar Ka Nagma' of Lata Mangeshkarat the railway station in West Bengal, is in the news today. The video of this song went viral on the social and graned Ranu Madol huge popularity.  At the same time, she has recorded 3 songs for Himesh Reshammiya. In in an interview to IANS, Lata Mangeshkar said, "Agar mere naam aur kaam se kissiko bhala hota hai toh main apne-aap ko khush-kismat samajhti hoon (If anyone benefits from my name and work, I feel fortunate). But I also feel imitation is not a reliable and durable companion for success. By singing my songs or Kishoreda's (Kumar), or (Mohd) Rafi Saab's, or Mukesh Bhaiyya or Asha's (Bhosle) numbers, aspiring singers can get short-term attention. But it won't last"

 With this, Lata ji gave an example of her sister Asha Bhosle and said that "If Asha does not insist on singing in her style, then she becomes my shadow. She is the biggest example of how far a person's talent can take him. ''
