Schneider Electric has announced the launch of Eco structure Power and Process (EP&P) to boost the oil and gas sector in India. The company says that this will increase both efficiency and profitability in this segment of the economy. The company has partnered with Microsoft to create the Commercial Internet of Things (IoT) in energy management and automation. This will help in bringing both power and process together. Through this platform, Schneider Electric aims to reduce Capex and opex by 20 to 30 per cent, to overcome the challenges associated with volatility in the O&G sector.
In its statement, the company says that whenever the power and process management systems work in different cycles, the business organization suffers from this. In such a situation, it is important to maintain the mocking and processing of different teams of engineers and programmers.
