BMW Motorrad is going to launch the 2019 BMW S 1000 RR in the Indian market on June 27. The new model will feature a longer list of features than the current one. The 2019 BMW S1000 RR will feature a brand new 998 cc in-line four motor producing 204bhp and 83Nm of torque. It delivers 8bhp more power than the existing engine. The new engine also gets the new Shiftcam Valve train that was spotted on the BMW R 1250 GS during EICMA 2018.

As per the information received, the new technology brings variable timing and valve stroke to the intake side of the valve train. In addition, the weight of the new S1000 RR will be 10.6 kg lighter than the current model, which would mean a better power-to-weight ratio. The engine will be 3 kg light errands and the total bike weight will be 197 kg.2019 BMW S 1000 RR will feature a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, a bi-directional quick shifter and cruise control as other features. BMW will also provide an 'M' race package, which includes carbon fibre wheels, race livery and so on.
