Aiming to increase its share in the Indian market, Chinese smartphone maker LeEco on Thursday launched two new phones – the Le 2 in the budget category and the Le Max in the premium category with upgraded features and improved cameras.
While the Le 2 is the successor to Le 1s which was a best seller in the budget category, the Max 2 will replace the Max that was launched last year.
The Le 2 gets a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset along with a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It also gets the image sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixels. The front camera is an 8MP one.
The phone will support 4G LTE but won’t have expandable storage. Perhaps, the biggest change on the phone is the replacement of the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack in favour of USB Type-C audio port.
At 5.7 inch, the Max 2 features a slightly bigger screen and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It will available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.
