Launching Tata Safari Dark Edition Today: What you can expect

The Safari Dark Edition will be quite similar to the Dark Editions of the Altroz, Nexon, Nexon EV, and Harrier in terms of improvements. This indicates the Safari will be painted in a gloss black colour (perhaps the same Oberon Black as the Harrier Dark Edition), with gloss black details on the grille, headlamp surrounds, and window surrounds — all of which are chrome on the ordinary vehicle. The 18-inch alloy wheels will also be blacked out. The Tata and Dark Edition badges will be the only chrome on the Safari Dark Edition.

If we talk about interior, we may expect an all-black theme across the three-row SUV's cabin. This will be a first for the Safari, since all of the SUV's previous versions, including the regular, Adventure, and Gold edition models, have featured white or beige interiors.

The Safari Dark Edition will most likely be based on the premium XZ and XZ+ trims, thus it will be well-equipped. 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple and Android connectivity, wireless charging, JBL audio system, 7.0-inch part-digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and leatherette seat upholstery are among the features available.

Engine and Gearbox

The new Safari Dark variant will be powered by the same 170 horsepower 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine found in the normal Safari. It will be available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission, since it will be essentially similar to the normal model.
