Lava has launched he budget smarthphone Lava X81 in India, priced at Rs. 11,499. The Lava X81 will be available for buying from physical retail stores and online via Flipkart starting from June 13.

The company has announced that the Lava X81 smartphone comes with Airtel's double data offer without detailing the maximum limit and validity.

Lava X81 runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with Star OS. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support.

Lava X81 sports a 5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 Processor with 3GB of RAM. For graphics it has a Mali T720 GPU.

Lava X81 comes with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera with LED flash. It comes with 16GB in-built storage which can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD card.

Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,700 mAh Battery.

The smartphone will be also covered under a 1-year free screen replacement offer from Lava; though this will be for purchases within the first month only.

Lava has confirmed that it will launch a Gold colour variant of the Lava X81 next month.
