New Delhi: This year, Google launched several new products, the most recent being the Pixel 7 series, Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds Pro.

In the upcoming year, it is speculated that Google will release its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold. Apart from the flagship smartphone, Google is preparing to introduce several products in the upcoming year including Pixel 7a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8a.

Three Pixel 9 series smartphones are rumored to be part of the lineup for 2024. A new clamshell phone from Google that looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is probably on their roadmap for 2025.

According to a report by Android Authority citing unnamed sources, the possible roadmaps for several Google products in 2023, 2024 and 2025 have been revealed.

As per the report, the brand is getting ready to unveil two Pixel smartphones with the codenames "lynx" and "felix" at the Google I/O event in April or May 2023.

The Pixel Fold is known to have the codename "felix", while the Pixel 7a is known to have the codename "lynx". According to reports, the Pixel 7a will be priced at $449 (roughly Rs. 37,000), which is the same as the Pixel 6a.

On the other hand, the foldable phone will likely be priced at $1,799 (roughly Rs. 1,49,000) to compete with products like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.

The official release of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, codenamed "shiba" and "husky," is anticipated for H2 2023. The specifications of the Pixel 8 series could be very similar to the Pixel 7 series.

However, the base model of the Pixel 8 is expected to have a smaller display and a more compact design. According to reports, the display and overall dimensions of the Pixel 8 Pro are the same as the Pixel 7 Pro.

A new SoC with the working codename "Zuma" could power Google's upcoming flagship smartphones. The new SoC is expected to be advertised by Google as the Tensor G3.

The report also claims that Google intends to introduce the Pixel 8a, code-named "akita", as a possible Pixel 7a replacement in the upcoming year.

However, the commercial success of the Pixel 7a may determine when the smartphone will be released. The Pixel 8a is speculated to cost $499 and is said to compete with devices like Apple's iPhone SE model (around Rs 41,000).

According to rumors, Google will present three smartphones under the Pixel 9 series in the fall of 2024. The Pixel 9 Pro, codenamed "Komodo", will feature a 6.7-inch display, while the regular Pixel 9 will have the same size and design as the Pixel 8.

A scaled-down Pixel 9 Pro with a 6.3-inch display could be the third model in the Pixel 9 lineup. This appears to be in line with the size of Apple's recent iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The 2024 Pixel series of smartphones will likely be powered by the Tensor G4, also known as the "Redondo".

The report also states that Google intends to introduce a successor to the foldable in 2024. After carefully evaluating consumer response to its first foldable, "Felix", the tech giant is expected to develop a follow-up plan for the foldable segment.

For 2025, it is reportedly planning to release a foldable clamshell device similar to the Galaxy Z Flip. If its plans for a Flip-like device are abandoned, Google will release four non-folding smartphones.
