Upcoming movie ‘Manmarziyaan’ is recently facing some legal troubles. Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer movie have been served notice by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Board. The notice is issued for shooting in an ecologically sensitive zone, where they were not supposed to. The movie is produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap and Aanand L Rai.
As per the reports in
bollywoodbubble, the producers have been asked to describe how they shot in the prohibited area of the Thajiwas glacier. The Sonmarg Development Authority has forbidden vehicle drive in the area following an order by the J&K high court.

As per the sources, the Tourism Board has asked them to revert within a week on how they obtained the license to shoot in the stretch, which is an ecologically sensitive zone.

In the case, a local environmentalist Faiz Bakshi has filed a PIL. The PIL states that certain rules were overlooked by the team and they have continued their shoot on April 18. Bakshi has also asked the local administration’s relationship in the fiasco as the production team could not probably have done it by themselves.

As stated by the spokesperson of Colour Yellow Productions, proper permits were in place from both, the Department of Tourism and Department of Wildlife Protection in Kashmir. We were sensitive about shooting there. We also have followed all the terms and conditions put forward to be allowed to shoot there.
