However, a recent official statement from the Dadasaheb Phalke team has brought a storm on the Internet. The team accused Mahira of making a wrong certificate of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2020.

According to the official team, Mahira shared an Instagram post a few days ago, in which she can be seen holding a certificate at the prestigious ceremony for being 'the most fashionable contestant of Bigg Boss 13'. The team members have issued the certificate and told the post to be fake. Describing the effort as unethical and distasteful, the DPIFF team has issued a threatening letter and asked Mahira to issue a public apology within the next 48 hours for doing misleading PR activities.
