Last Rites with State Honours

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Ratan Tata’s last rites would be conducted with full state honours. The public will have the opportunity to pay their respects at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, after which his mortal remains will be taken to the Worli Crematorium for the final rites.

Maharashtra Government Declares a Day of Mourning
The Maharashtra government has announced a day of mourning in honour of Ratan Tata. No entertainment programmes will be held, and the entire state will pay tribute to the stalwart who played a crucial role in the growth of Indian industry.

Ratan Tata’s mortal remains will be kept at the NCPA Lawns, Nariman Point, Mumbai, from 10:30 a.m. on Thursday for members of the public to pay their last respects. At 4:00 p.m., his final journey will proceed to the Prayer Hall at the Worli Crematorium, where the last rites will be performed.
