KOCHI: Legendary playback singer K J Yesudas celebrates his 83rd birthday today, January 10, 2023.

The prolific  vocalist, who has previously celebrated his birthday at Kollur Mookambika Temple, is currently in Dallas, United States, thus he will be unable to do so this year.

On the other hand, the singer's birthday celebrations will take place on Tuesday in Kochi at the Azeezia Convention Centre, Padivattom. The singer's classmates, other artists, and acquaintances from many industries are expected to attend the event, which is being arranged by Yesudas Academy.

At the event, Yesudas' most recent musical CD, "Thanichonnu Kaanaan," will be released by actor Mammootty. The celebrations for Minister P. Rajeev's birthday will include participation from Hibi Eden MP, Collector Renu Raj, and ADGP Ajith Kumar, among others.

The acclaimed performer has more than 70,000 songs in various languages recorded, and he has received the National Award for the Best Male Playback Singer eight times.
