Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition Announced: Price and Features

After launching the flagship Z6 Pro last month, Lenovo introduced a lighter version, called the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition, also called the Z6 Lite. The Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition has a Snapdragon 710 SoC, and it works on an Android Pie based on the ZUI 11 out of the box. The smartphone comes in three memory configurations - 4 GB / 64 GB, 6 GB / 64 GB and 6 GB / 128 GB. And you can expand the memory up to 256 GB with a microSD card.

The Z6 Youth Edition is made of magnesium alloy in the form of a frame, which is the same material that we see on Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks. The smartphone is available in two colors - Knight Black and Stardust. The former has a textured back, and the latter has a gradient design.

The Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition’s front panel features a 6.3-inch display with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and support for HDR10. The screen also has a drop-shaped cutout, which contains a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Around the back, you see a triple camera that consists of a 16 megapixel main (f / 1.8), 8-megapixel telephoto (f / 2.4) and 5 megapixels wide (f / 2.2) camera. This camera system offers 8x hybrid zoom and comes with some AI tricks.

The smartphone comes with a 4050 mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. Other features of the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos sound, and dual-frequency GPS. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom next to the USB-C port.

Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition costs 1199 yuan ($ 174) for the 4 GB / 64 GB model, 1399 yuan ($ 203) for the 6 GB / 64 GB version and 1699 yuan ($ 246) for the 6 GB / 128 GB option. It will go on sale in China from May 28 through the official Chinese website of TMall and JD.com.
