Another tragic accident in Sidhi district, leopard pounced upon minor girl

Sidhi: The news of a tragic incident has come to light in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, a 12-year-old girl died in a leopard attack at Sanjay Tiger Sanctuary in the district. It has been learned that Kedar Parouha, the in-charge of the Marwas police chowki, said that the deceased has been identified as Saroj Gond. She was a resident of Jhapari village and was the daughter of Shiva Narayan Singh Gond.

The incident took place on Saturday in the forest near the Marwas of Sanjay Tiger Sanctuary when she went to cut wood sticks for cooking with other women, including her mother. Parouha said, "All these women were picking the wood from a small distance in the forest." Saroj's mother was with her. Suddenly the leopard grabbed Saroj's throat in the jaw and dragged it for nearly 200 meters.

It has been learned that the women present there tried to get rid of her by making noise but by the time the leopard ran away from her, Saroj had lost her life. A case has been registered and the dead body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
