Mizoram: The state recorded less than 1,000 cases of COVID-19 in a day for nine consecutive days, according to the health department. Mizoram is seeing a dip in its daily Covid-19 tally as 747 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the state's tally to 1,16,689. The death toll remains at 400. He said that out of 7,318 sample tests, 747 cases have been detected, with a one-day positivity rate of 10.18 per cent.

The newly infected include at least 147 children and ten prisoners. The number of Covid-19 active cases now stands at 9,636, while 1,143 people have been cured as on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,06,653. The recovery rate of Kovid-19 patients in the state is 91.39 percent and the death rate is 0.34 percent.

The state has so far conducted over 12,61 lakh sample tests for COVID-19, out of which 7,318 samples were tested on Thursday. State Immunization Officer Dr Laljavmi said that till Friday more than 6.93 lakh people have been vaccinated, out of which 5 lakh people have received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
