So many times we are seeking blessings of Ganpati Bappa for all our auspicious works. Ever wondered what is the history associated with the Temple? How old it is? When was it established?

Well let’s take you through the journey of the Temple.

It was back in the 18th century when this temple was built when Indore was ruled by Rani Ahilya Bai Holker. It is the largest Ganpati idol in the World measuring 8 meters from head to toe.

The statue is made of amalgamation of jaggery, limestone, bricks, mud from the stables of elephants and horses. No doubt that this brings out the most fascinating and mesmerizing statue of Lord Ganesha.

It took a lot of years to develop from a small area to a big structured place for so many visitors to see the beauty of the temple and the statue. The idol was found in the well back in the year 1735 and kept under Holkar dynasty. This temple is equally famous in India and Indians residing Countries.
