New Delhi: There has been a scuffle between the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Delhi (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). On behalf of Lieutenant Governor Saxena, his lawyer sent a legal notice to AAP and 5 big leaders of the party on Monday (September 5). It has been said in this notice that false and misleading things are being spread against the Lieutenant Governor by AAP leaders. Untrue and defamatory statements should be stopped with immediate effect. Along with this, LG has also sought a reply to the notice within 48 hours.  

Everything was fine in Delhi, as long as the new liquor policy was going on. But, when Lt Governor Saxena noticed something wrong with the Kejriwal government's new liquor policy, he recommended a CBI probe into it. However, before the investigation could begin, the Kejriwal government immediately made a U-turn and announced the withdrawal of the new liquor policy and re-implementing the old policy. But after the LG's order, the CBI raided deputy CM Manish Sisodia's house and Sisodia's name came up as the main accused in the investigation agency's FIR. This led to the AAP's panic, after which the game of surrounding LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, who ordered an investigation into the liquor scam, started. AAP leaders who were silent on the liquor scam till now started accusing the Lieutenant Governor of corruption one after the other.  

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that Lt Governor Vinai Saxena while holding the post of khadi village industries (KVIC) chairman, got his daughter Shivangi Saxena a tender worth Rs 80 crore to design khadi lounge in Mumbai. Sanjay Singh has also said that Saxena when he was the head of KVIC, siphoned off crores of rupees during demonetisation, and many scams and frauds took place. Not only this, but he has also demanded the removal of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi from the post. Hurt by these allegations, LG has sent a legal notice to AAP leaders, now it remains to be seen what happens next in this case.
