Life Insurance Corporation has come out with a special scholarship scheme on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee. Under this, the scholarship will be given to those meritorious students who come from Economically Weaker Section (EWS - Economic Weaker Section). Which courses will this scholarship be for? This scholarship will be given to students for pursuing higher education in any government or private university in India. With its help, students can also do technical and vocational education or can take a course from an industrial training institute recognized by the National Council for Vocational Training.

What do you want?
All those students who have passed 12th examination in the academic session 2018-19 with a minimum 60% marks, can apply for this. Those who have passed 10th standard with at least 60% marks. Those whose parent's annual income does not exceed Rs 1 lakh, can apply for this scholarship. Those who want to do a diploma or any other vocational course in medicine, engineering, graduate or any faculty.
Scholarships for special students as well
Apart from the above, LIC has also brought a scholarship scheme, especially for the meritorious girl students.
Girls who have passed 10th standard with a minimum 60% can apply for this.
LIC will give them the scholarship to complete 12th standard on 10 + 2 pattern.

How long will you get the scholarship?
Regular Scholarship - This LIC scholarship will be given to deserving students throughout their course.
Special scholarship for girl students - This will be given for 2 years. However, after fulfilling certain qualifications, the students will also be able to get her renewed for further studies.
How much will you get?
20 thousand rupees will be given annually to regular eligible students. This amount will be given in 3 installments at an interval of every 4 months.
A special scholarship for girls will be given annually for 10 thousand rupees. It will also be paid in 3 installments.
