Several special commissioners of Delhi Police are constantly patrolling. Along with this, a flag march is also being carried out in the violence-affected areas. Corporation councilor Tahir Hussain, accused of killing IB jawan Ankit Sharma, is currently absconding. Raids are on in search of him in Delhi-UP. On the other hand, former Congress corporator of Congress Ishrat Jahan was arrested for spreading violence and sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody. At the same time, the new police commissioner of Delhi Police SN Srivastava has also taken over his office on Saturday, 29 February 2020. The new commissioner appealed to the people to maintain peace and maintain communal harmony.

It is also being said that after the violence on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in north-east Delhi, there was constant tension in the district. Police also imposed undeclared curfew in violence-hit areas on the pretext of Section-144. After which no one was being allowed to move out of the house in the affected area. At the same time, on Friday, February 28, 2020, in the morning and evening, the police took 10 hours relief and took stock of the situation.
