Vijay Deverakonda’s  Liger is proved to be the biggest disaster of the year in its opening days. The movie is receiving Harsh reviews and people are trolling the Lead actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday for their acting. Speaking about the Box office collection, it is dropped by 50 % on day 2.

According to Box office reports, Liger earned around Rs 33.12 crore on its opening day but the film experienced a drop of more than 50 per cent on the second day The Hindi version of Liger had a delayed release for unknown reasons. The Hindi version of the film was released in very few theatres late Thursday night and it collected â‚¹1.25 crore from paid previews on Friday.

 Liger managed to collect around 1.25 crore nett plus on the paid previews while it did reasonably well in Telugu which is the main market. It also stated that the Andhra market will feel it's more like a Hindi film while the Hindi circuits will feel like it's a South film, hence affecting its chances to perform at the box office.

Speaking about Liger, The movie is directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger opened in theatres on Thursday amid mixed to negative reviews by the critics. It also stars Ramya Krishnan Ronit Roy, and Makarand Deshpande in prominent roles and boxer Mike Tyson in an extended cameo.  It was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is backed by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur's banner Puri Connects and Karan Johar-led Dharma Productions.
