In India, the monsoon has reached before the normal date of 27 June. The monsoon has reached the national capital two days before the normal date. Monsoon was witnessed in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. A total of 120 people died due to lightning in both the states, and many others were injured. In Bihar, maximum 92 people died due to lightning, while Uttar Pradesh lost 28 lives. For the next few days, there is no hope of getting relief from rain in UP Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain during the next 72 hours.

With this, the monsoon will move over parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, entire Delhi, parts of Haryana and most parts of Punjab.

Apart from this, with the arrival of monsoon in UP, the weather got a rough look. At least 28 people have died due to lightning in the state. Also, a large number of people have been scorched. 9 people died in Deoria, 5 in Prayagraj, three each in Ambedkaranagar and Siddharthnagar, two each in Barabanki, Santakbirnagar, Rae Bareli, Kushinagar, Fatehpur Balrampur and Unnao. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the victims and directed to immediately provide relief of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the disabled.
