For this, the Bihar government has approved the discovery of "country's largest" gold deposits in Jamui district. A senior officer has given this news on Saturday. According to the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Jamui district has about 222.88 million tonnes of gold reserves including 37.6 tonnes of mineral-rich ore. The Mines and Geology Department is in consultation with the investigating agencies including the GSI and the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for the discovery of gold deposits in Jamui.
According to the agency's report, Additional Chief Secretary cum Mines Commissioner Harjot Kaur Bamhra said, "After analyzing the findings of the GSI, the consultation process started, which included the presence of gold in areas like Karmatia, Jhajha and Sono in Jamui district." signal was received." He said that the state government is likely to sign an agreement with a central agency or other agencies for G3 (preliminary) stage exploration within a month.
