The stunning and versatile Hollywood / TV star who wowed her fans and audiences as Betty in Riverdale (CW, 2017 – present), taking to her social media handle, Lili spills beans on her 11 year long battle with depression.
Taking to her official social media handle on Instagram and posting an insta story for the same, Lili spills beans on her 11 year long battle with depression.
Describing how the disease of depression coupled with mental health depression is real along with also being intolerable and unbearable on some days, Lili Reinhart wrote, “Some days I feel really defeated by my depression. It’s an exhausting battle that I’ve been fighting for 11 years and some days, like today, it can feel intolerable”.
The Riverdale star also continuing in same story, also penned, “This is a reminder to my fellow warriors that it’s okay to have days where you don’t want to fight anymore”.
Whilst the initial statement made in her insta story feels like somewhat defeatist and giving up kind of a person, but the Hustlers (2019) fame Hollywood star also gave her followers and fans some advice and in her same note she also adds, “You don’t need to justify your mental health to anyone. Prioritize yourself when needed, take time to rest. Surround yourself with good people and high vibrations”.
Finally concluding her note, Lili Reinhart who created huge fanbase since her debut with Riverdale wrote, “But remember you are always worth fighting for. And tomorrow could be such a beautiful day”.
In last year 2020 during her cover shoot story and interview with a globally renowned digital entertainment magazine, opening up on how she felt suffocated like a ‘prisoner’ as she could not leave Canada due to Riverdale shooting set in the same place and more, Lili had shared, “I genuinely feel like a prisoner, going back to work, because I cannot leave Canada. That doesn’t feel good. You can’t go home for Thanksgiving, can’t visit your family. No one can come visit you unless they quarantine for two weeks. It just feels f**ked”.
Not the first time that Lili openly shared about her mental health struggles and in an earlier interview last year with a global Hollywood entertainment portal opening up on having panic attacks at 13 years old, she had said, “Every day, in my eighth-grade year, I would cry in the morning”.
In yet another interview back in 2019 during the super successful film Hustlers theatrical release with a leading global hollywood entertainment magazine opening up on years before her big break, Lili Reinhart had said, “When I was 18 years old, I moved to LA for the first time and was struggling for five months. I didn’t have any money. I had saved up to move out to LA but it was slowly dwindling and I had to sort of go to every other audition that I was offered. I really had no money; I had to pinch pennies and eat at 7/11 – gas station food – in order to get by so much so that I decided I needed to move back home for a while in order to save up money again. I moved back in with my parents and when I was 19, I tried it all again”.
Currently she is busy in shooting for her next Netflix film titled, ‘Plus Minus’.
