It is being told that 22-year-old Anjali Kumari, a resident of Hawaitpur village under the Mofussil police station area, was married to Balmiki Sahani of Manjhaul-3 panchayat on May 2, 2022, with Hindu customs.
The family members alleged that dowry was given at the time of marriage, even after that, Anjali was being tortured by her in-laws since the marriage for a motorcycle and two lakh rupees. On the night of July 28, Anjali's husband and mother-in-law Savitri Devi assaulted her and then drank acid. In a critical condition, Anjali Devi was admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment by her parents where she died on Thursday due to treatment. Manjhaul police station has arrested the accused husband on the basis of the case. After this incident, there is a commotion among the relatives of the deceased.
