Ujjain: A man living in Kesarpur Ghatia of Ujjain city was hacked to death by 8 persons of the village in a land dispute and locked in a room after being bitten by a dog and hanged with a scarf after attacking him with a log and a sword. The wife saved her husband's life with the help of dial 100. Three persons were injured in the attack and have been admitted to the district hospital.

Bheru Singh, 30, a resident of Kesarpur Ghatia, his father Nahar and wife Ladkunwar were admitted to the district hospital in an injured condition for treatment by the family members. Bheru Singh said that Nagu's land is located near his farm. When there was a dispute over the same, he went to Nagu's house to talk, then Mohan, Krishnabai, Pawan, Narendra, Ladkunwar, along with Nagu, who were present there, beat him with sticks and swords and also cut him off from the dog.

Later, the men locked them in the room. Wife Ladkunwar and father Nahar, who came to the rescue, were also beaten with sticks. According to Bheru Singh, the said men locked the room and hanged themselves from the scarf. When his wife Ladkunwar informed Dial 100 about the incident, the police reached the spot. Police pulled Bheru Singh out of the room and sent the three injured to the district hospital.
