SAN FRANCISCO: Linda Yaccarino was set to take over as the new Twitter Chief Executive Officer from Monday,  June 5, as Elon Musk aims to focus more on Tesla and SpaceX, as per media reports..

Joe Benarroch, an executive vice president at NBC Universal, has also been hired by Yaccarino, the former chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBC Universal, to work alongside her at Twitter.

As per a report in the Wall Street Journal late on Sunday, Benarroch has been a trusted adviser to Yaccarino. Benarroch stated in the memo obtained by WSJ that "tomorrow, I start a different professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focusing on business operations." "I am looking forward to bringing my experience to Twitter, and to working with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together."

Yaccarino said last month that she is ready to work with Musk and the platform's millions of users to construct Twitter 2.0 and overhaul the company.  I've long been moved by your determination to forge a better future. She wrote on Twitter, "I'm delighted to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together.

"I'm equally dedicated to the development of this platform. Your opinions are ESSENTIAL to that future. I'm present for everything. Let's continue the discussion and create Twitter 2.0 together," Yaccarino added.

Musk is eager to collaborate with Yaccarino to develop the platform into X, the all-encompassing app, similar to WeChat in China.

At NBC Universal, Yaccarino was in charge of around 2,000 employees. Her team established collaborations with businesses including Apple, Snapchat, BuzzFeed, Twitter, and YouTube and produced more than $100 billion in ad revenue.
