New Delhi: The Modi government at the Centre has made it mandatory for beneficiaries to link their Aadhaar number to avail themselves with the benefits under its ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. However, the central government has given concession to some states from this rule upto 31st March, 2021.
In these states, beneficiaries without Aadhaar link will not be able to get an annual assistance of Rs. 6000/-under PM Kisan after 31st March, 2021. So, whoever has not yet linked their Aadhaar number with the bank account should get these things done before March. The Central Government has granted concession to Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Assam and Meghalaya in April, 2020 from mandatory Aadhaar linkage under PM Kisan Samman Award upto March, 2021.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been launched in 2019 and under this the government provides farmers directly to their bank account in three equal varieties of Rs. 6000/-in a year. Under the scheme, assistance is being provided to 9 crore farmers. After the state governments posted Aadhaar information on PM Kisan website, the central government has started pouring money into the accounts of farmers from 1st December, 2019.
