Barcelona: The dispute between Argentine superstar footballer Lionel Messi and his club Barcelona does not appear to be resolved. This star striker of the team has cleared that he no longer wants to play for the team. The first meeting between the star footballer's father and the club's officials ended without any conclusion.

According to sources, In this meeting, the Argentine star's request to leave the club was discussed for more than an hour and a half between club president Josep Bartomeu and Messi's father George Messi, but no solution has been found. George Messi is Lionel Messi's father as well as his agent".

Messi had spoken to Barcelona last week that he wanted to leave the club. He resorted to the rule of his contract, according to which he can leave the club at the end of the season without paying any money. However, Barcelona has claimed that the limit of this rule is over in June and he will have to complete his current contract by June 2021 or pay 700 million euros before leaving the club. Barcelona officials say that they will discuss only extending Messi's contract and they will not allow Messi to leave the club.
