New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's residence was raided for over eight hours on Friday (August 19, 2022). The matter pertains to liquor and Delhi's excise policy. In this case, the central investigating agency CBI has filed an FIR, in which Sisodia has been made the main accused.
The CBI has said in its FIR that a liquor baron had given Rs 1 crore to a company run by an associate of Manish Sisodia. Along with this, the CBI has named 15 people in its FIR under sections related to criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. These include Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, 9 businessmen, 3 excise officers and two companies. Let us know that the CBI team raided dozens of locations in 7 states of the country on Friday. It also includes people related to him, including Sisodia.
The CBI also raided Manish Sisodia's private house and government residence. Even Sisodia's car has been searched. Quoting sources, it is being reported in the media that electronic devices like Manish Sisodia's mobile and laptop have been seized.
