Patna: The leaders of the parties involved in the Grand Alliance government have different opinions regarding the liquor ban in Bihar. Before joining the government, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav questioned the liquor ban many times. Former Chief Ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha have also surrounded Nitish on prohibition. Now the latest statement on prohibition has come from RJD MLC Rambali Chandravanshi. He has also blamed the public for the deaths due to the liquor ban and the question of the liquor ban.

While returning from the election campaign in Kudhani, Rambali said that the people of Bihar are not yet ready for prohibition. Along with this, he surprised by saying that liquor in Bihar is like God, it is not visible anywhere, but it is available everywhere. Along with this, on the question of the death of 3 persons due to spurious liquor in the Vaishali district, Chandravanshi said that death goes on living.

However, later on liquor ban, he gave a staunch reply that there is no liquor ban or liquor issue in Bihar. Sir, the issue is the price of bitter oil, the head of your government has made prohibition an issue of the nose. Earlier, Jitan Ram Manjhi, former Bihar CM and founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha, had said that those who consume small amounts of alcohol in Bihar should not be arrested. Manjhi said that the liquor ban is a good thing, but there are problems in its implementation in Bihar where there are many irregularities due to which liquor smugglers are not being caught. Poor people who consume only 250 grams of liquor are being arrested and sent to jail. Today, about 70 percent of people jailed for drinking alcohol have consumed only 250 grams of alcohol. Those who are caught drinking alcohol in small quantities should not be arrested.
