New Delhi: Manish Sisodia, former deputy CM of Delhi and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, who is badly surrounded in Delhi's famous liquor scam case, may not have got bail yet, but there is definitely a relief for him. Actually, the court has accepted Sisodia's demand.
As per reports, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday (May 23) directed Tihar Jail authorities to consider Sisodia's request to provide him with a chair and table to study inside his cell . On the other hand, the court has once again extended the judicial custody of Sisodia for 14 days. Now Sisodia will have to remain in jail till June 1, after which his case will be heard again.
According to reports, when Sisodia was produced in the court today, the judge, while extending his judicial custody, also directed the Tihar Jail authorities to consider providing the AAP leader a chair and a table with books inside the jail. At the same time, when Sisodia was being brought out of the court room, he spoke to the media about the ordinance of the Center on Delhi's service matter, saying that PM Narendra Modi "does not believe in democracy" and "Modi is very arrogant".
