After talks with the government, liquor shops in Madhya Pradesh also opened on Wednesday after 45 days. But shops are open in most areas since Thursday. Liquor shops will open in the state from 7 am to 7 pm. All the shopkeepers will have to follow the guidelines issued by the government. As soon as the liquor shops open, the government is preparing to impose a corona tax on it. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also indicated about this.

Actually, most of the shops in the state opened after noon after talks between liquor contractors and the government. According to the information, all the shops will open in the state except Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain from Thursday. There are total 3605 liquor shops in the state. Liquor shops were closed due to the lockdown, the state government has suffered a loss of Rs 1800 crore. On the demand of liquor contractors, it has been said by the government that we will inform you about the decision. All shops are to be opened by following the guidelines issued for Kovid-19. Long queues of people were seen outside the liquor shops at many places on Wednesday.

Let us tell you that like other states, the Madhya Pradesh government is also preparing to impose a corona tax on liquor. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has given these hints on Wednesday. He said that the state economy has collapsed due to Corona. The state treasury is completely empty. The government may impose a corona tax on liquor. There will be some improvement in the situation with the commencement of economic activities.
