Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh CM Uma Bharti has again been vocal about the liquor ban. She has hinted at the agitation in several tweets. She said that the liquor ban will continue in Madhya Pradesh. Uma Bharti tweeted that our campaign for ban and prohibition is not against the government. It is against alcohol and intoxication. It is also a difficult task to convince the BJP, the Congress and the people in the government. For all these reasons, from the beginning of the campaign to the completion of the campaign, I myself have to be fully alert and attached, for which I am ready. My first phase has been discussed with senior Sangh volunteers, state president VD Sharma and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The next phase will start after 14th February. Ban and prohibition will continue in Madhya Pradesh.
Let me tell you that Uma Bharti Kagi has been making her stand for prohibition in the state for a long time. She has also warned of agitation for the same. By January 15, 2022, Uma Bharti had spoken of taking to the streets to agitate if there was no prohibition. On the one hand, Uma is raising her voice over prohibition, while on the other hand, under the new order of the government, the new liquor policy will come into effect in MP from April 1, under which liquor will be cheaper by 20 per cent.
With this, Congress has started opposing the Shivraj government's new liquor policy. In Indore, Congress has also put up posters of former CM Uma Bharti's disappearance. According to Congress, Uma Bharti has gone missing after announcing a liquor ban. The Congress says the Congress party will also support Uma Bharti if she takes to the streets. Congress leader Jitu Patwari had held a press conference on Thursday and said that the Congress will prepare a chariot for Uma Bharti so that it can take out rath yatra in the state.
