Liquor can be served from 12 noon to 2 pm in hotels and bars in tourist places.

According to the information received, the cabinet has also approved the road project phase-2 where it is also said that under this, 5 roads of the state will be widened. These include roads from Kalkhad to Mandi, Nalagarh-Baddi via Ramshahar and Dharol to Daror etc. The state road project will cost US $ 110 million. This project will be funded by the World Bank. 650 km of roads are to be upgraded under the scheme, while 1350 km of roads will be repaired.

Under the new liquor policy, there is a target of 1840 crore revenue in 2020-21. This is 215 crores more with a 13% increase over 2019-20. The cabinet has also approved the renewal of retail excise contracts for the year 2020-21. There is a provision to give 30% quota of country liquor to liquor manufacturers and bottlers to retail licensees. It is being said that the retail licensee can take the rest of the quota from the supplier of choice. There is a provision of obtaining FDR or bank guarantee from retail license holders in place of security of property papers property as security. From next financial year, imported liquor in the state will be supplied from the public custom bonded godown located in the state.
