PM Narendra Modi addressed at the conference on 'Islamic Heritage: Promoting Understanding & Moderation'.

In his address, PM Modi said,“The religion cannot be inhuman. Every tradition, every sect, is meant to promote human values. Therefore, the most urgent need is that our youth should be linked to humanitarian Islam on one side and can use modern science and the means of promotion on the other."

Jordan King’s three-day visit is consequential to PM Narendra Modi’s visit which was turned up almost three weeks before as a part of his West Asia tour.

“I am on my second official visit to India and I am truly honored to be here”: says King Abdullah II after receiving the ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The three-day visit is going to witness extensive talks on bilateral issues including terrorism, extremism, Palestine, etc. apart from expanding several key factors including health-care, IT, custom, etc.

It is to be noted that the three-day visit has a strategic basis to strengthen India’s foreign policy as Jordon is one of the Muslim majority countries having diplomatic ties with Israel, India’s strongest ally in middle-east. Besides, King Abdullah could be of great help to India in counter-terror operations.

Later the King will meet PM Modi at the Hyderabad house where the crucial discussion will take place followed by the exchange of agreements. Thereafter, King Abdullah will meet Vice-President and the President in the evening.
