Pre-operated Air India flights between Delhi-Dehradun-Pantnagar have also been started under domestic air services commencing from 25 May in the country amid lockdown. As soon as Lockdown-4 was imposed, the government had given permission to operate domestic aircraft in the country from May 25, following strict social distancing and lockdown rules. Under this, the flight between Delhi-Dehradun-Pantnagar has also been started. This (9i 824) flight from Delhi (via Dehradun) arrived at Pantnagar on Monday at 8.29 am. On the condition of anonymity, an Air India official said that about 42 seats were booked on this flight from Delhi.

However, the passengers canceled their booking, and did not travel under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Aviation to quarantine the traveling public at their own expense. The airport terminal building was sanitized before the aircraft reached Pantnagar. A four-member health team including CMO Shailaja Bhatt and ambulances, two nodal officers and the police team were present during the flight. After intensive screening (web and thermal screening) of the passengers, they were sent for quarantine.
