New Delhi: Covid infection in India's capital Delhi seems to be weakening, but the number of deaths still remains around 300. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again extended the lockdown period in Delhi. Delhi is now scheduled to be locked down till 5 am next Monday, May 24.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that Delhi has seen a very good recovery. Covid is also decreasing rapidly. He said that the lockdown in Delhi has been extended by another week so that the situation that we have overcome so far has not deteriorated at once.

According to reports, a lockdown has been taken up in Delhi since April 19 due to the havoc caused by Covid. At present, delhi had a lockdown till 5 am on May 17 which has been extended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till the morning of May 24. According to the online survey, most Delhiites also wanted the lockdown period to be extended by at least one more week.
