Maharashtra: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday appealed to the people of the state not to ease their precautions against covid-19 and to follow health safety rules to avoid another lockdown. In in a statement he said, "We have been advised to impose night curfew but I do not believe that anything can be achieved by implementing such restrictions."

At the same time, he also said that, 'Relaxation in the conditions of lockdown does not mean that the epidemic has gone, so people need to be careful'. In fact, he says, 'people are following the covid-19 safety rules on a large scale but are still not following the instructions to apply other masks and roam around crowded places. Rapidly increasing cases in Delhi are a matter of concern and curfew was also imposed in Ahmedabad. I do not want another lockdown but you too should understand the seriousness of the situation. ''

Apart from this, he also said, "I have been advised to impose night curfew but I believe that nothing can be achieved with such restrictions." I thank you for celebrating the fireworks-free Diwali. I express my disappointment that covid-19 containment rules are not being followed in many places. ''
