Meanwhile, sad news has emerged.Iin the village Umaria of the tehsil area, Mahendra Thakur, a city soldier who was sick while on duty on April 11, died on Thursday. The city soldier was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Jabalpur. Brain haemorrhage is said to be the cause of death.

According to the information received, Mahendra father Shokilal Thakur, posted at Jhonteshwar post, was giving duty at Umaria on April 11 during lock down. It is said that during this time, his health deteriorated and he was brought to the community hospital. After this, the city soldier was taken to the district hospital Narsinghpur for treatment. According to the information, the city soldier was referred to Jabalpur from there.

On Thursday, he died during treatment. After this, his body was brought to Jhonteshwar and cremated. In this regard, the outpost in-charge Anjali Agnihotri said that the deceased was Mahendra Bauchhar village resident. He lived with family in Jhonteshwar. He has two sons.
