Mumbai: Corona infection is on the rise day by day in Maharashtra. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has recently reacted. Last Monday, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "When a lockdown is imposed, people lose jobs. He has also alleged that the State's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government is not serious about providing financial assistance to weaker sections.''

Moreover, in view of speculation of a complete lockdown amid rising covid-19 cases in the state, Fadnavis said, "The state has a lock-royal rather than a democracy.'' At the same time, he also said, "Maharashtra is the highest number of covid infection cases in the country and Maharashtra is the highest number of deaths due to this epidemic. Out of the total deaths in the country in the last 10 days, 50 to 55 percent were from Maharashtra. Similarly, out of the total cases in the country, 60 percent came from Maharashtra.''

He also said, 'I can understand that lockdown and unlocking are very important to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but people will lose their jobs when lockdown is imposed.' The former CM also said, "The governments of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka have helped the common man and farmers. It is the responsibility of the State government to help the people in distress, but instead of helping the people, this Maha Vikas Morcha Government is collecting electricity bills from the people like Jizya Tax which was levied during the Mughal period.''

He further said, "Due to this by-election, the state government has stopped disconnecting electricity connections of those who have not been able to pay their dues.''
