The government has given conditional approval to the Chardham Road Project, Kumbh Mela, National Highways and NHI's plans for the construction of centrally funded roads and bridges in Uttarakhand. Additional Chief Secretary Loniv Om Prakash has issued orders in this regard on Monday. The Public Works Department will also be able to start work on the roads and bridges on which 75 percent of the work has been completed. For this, the government has also issued a separate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). All-Weather Road Project in Rudraprayag has been started. Chardham Development Project, Power Project and MNREGA in Rudraprayag District included in the Green Zone under the ongoing lockdown to prevent infection from Korona The work has started.

With the widening of the Gaurikund and Badrinath highways, work has started in the construction of the bridge through machines and laborers. All-weather road project has been stalled since March 25 due to the lockdown. Even though the landslide zones are being cleaned by laborers with social distance, the work of debris cleaning. However, now the government is exempting NH from construction works, along with cutting on the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund and Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highways in the district, other works are getting speeded up. The number of laborers with machines has also been increased.

Along with this, the work of the bridge under construction at Punar Gadera in the headquarters has also increased. Cement work is being done with Pushta construction and Bharan for timely completion of the construction of the abatement by the executive body. DM Mangesh Ghildiyal said that work is being done only on the instructions of the government. During construction work, social distance and lockdown have to be observed for the workers. On the other hand, the construction work of Singoli-Bhatwadi hydropower project on Mandakini river has also started again. If all goes well, power generation will also start from the project in the next two months.
