Patna: The Opposition’s grand alliance in Bihar is set to clasp its first official talks to thrash out the upcoming general elections on Monday at the home of RJP leader Tejashwi Yadav. In The crucial talks all the stakeholders of ‘Mahagathbandhan’ which includes the RJD, the Congress, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM, former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP and Sharad Yadav’s LJD were present.

 

A decision is expected on the sharing of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Key leaders of all the parties will be present at the meeting to talk about the constituencies best suited for diverse constituencies. A public declaration of the same will be made post January 14.

Meanwhile, Jitan Ram Manjhi, quashed reports that he might come back to the NDA as he was not getting his owings in the Grand Alliance.

Prior to this the NDA announced its seat-sharing amid a walkout by Kushwaha. BJP chief Amit Shah declared NDA’s seat-sharing plan on December 23 according to which the BJP and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) JD(U) will fight from 17 seats each, on the other hand Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will contest elections from six seats.
