Andhra Pradesh IT minister and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh on Friday filed nomination to contest from Mangalagiri constituency in Amaravati in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nara Lokesh is the son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He filed his nomination at Mangalagiri Tahsildar's office after offering prayers and getting blessings from his parents.

Almost all the roads leading to local tehsildar’s office were literally packed with the party workers either dressed in yellow or carrying yellow flags. The huge turnout of TDP workers brought the normal life to a grinding halt. He has already started his campaign in the constituency and addressing the meetings. The first time he is contesting to the state Assembly, from Mangalagiri Assembly come under the purview of the state capital.

Lokesh, who is the general secretary of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), will be contesting for the first time. He filed nomination papers at the Mangalagiri Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) in the presence of his mother Bhuvaneswari, wife Brahmani and son Devansh. After filing the nomination, Lokesh cast his vote in the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections at a polling booth in Polakampadu Mandal Parishat elementary school. He along with wife Brahmani held special prayers. He visited Sri Sitaramaswamy temple in Tadepalle and offered prayers. Nara Lokesh's father-in-law and actor Balakrishna also filed his nomination from Hindupur constituency in Anantapur.
