New Delhi: This year, Lok Sabha MP and Speaker Om Birla has called an all-party meeting today before the budget session begins. This meeting is to be held from 3 pm. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha will discuss with the leaders of all political parties in the meeting because there has been a lot of uproar in the Parliament session for the last two times. The budget session of Parliament is going to start from January 31. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in Parliament on the first date of next month, i.e. on February 1.
According to the news, this budget session will continue till February 11. The second phase of the session will run from March 14 to April 8. Ahead of the budget session of Parliament, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu have directed the Secretaries-General of both the Houses to review the rising cases of corona infection. They have been directed to make suggestions for the upcoming Budget Session to be run in a safe manner and to take effective decisions. The Budget Session of Parliament will begin on January 31 with the President's Address to both the Houses and will conclude on April 8.
The budget session is beginning amid the rising cases of coronavirus in India. The session begins at a time when around 400 employees of different services of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha secretariats have been found to be corona infected in the last few days. Sources had said that 65 employees of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, 200 employees of the Lok Sabha Secretariat and 133 employees of the affiliated services tested positive due to the corona test. In the meeting, the government has called for talks with the leaders of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on how to work and simultaneously take into account the opposition's demand for talks.
