New Delhi:  On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha is slated to consider the new Omicron variant of Covid, as well as other legislative issues. The administration will also try to implement 'The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2020,' which it failed to do in the first two days of this session.

The new Omicron variant will be discussed under Rule 193, according to sources. Members can use this rule to learn more about the new Covid variant. "The new Omicron variant is likely to be discussed in the Lok Sabha for a short time. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Health, will inform the House on the new variant "according to sources

Mandaviya told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that no cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in the country as of now. He also updated the House of Commons on the country's readiness.

'The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2020' will also be introduced by Mandaviya. The Bill is for the regulation and supervision of assisted reproductive technology clinics and assisted reproductive technology banks, as well as for the prevention of misuse, the safe and ethical practise of assisted reproductive technology services, and for matters related to or incidental to those activities. Mandaviya was unable to propose bills for the first two days of the new session due to a continuous uproar in the House.
