New Delhi: Today is the first day of Parliament's winter session. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged opposition parties to raise their concerns calmly in Parliament. PM Modi had stated that the government is ready to discuss any issue. On matters of national importance, we must speak wisely and together. PM Modi stated that this is an important time when we should debate constructively and positively in the interest of the country.
However, Prime Minister Modi's plea was likewise ineffective. Members of the opposing party began chanting slogans in the Lok Sabha as soon as the winter session of Parliament began. After then, the House was recessed till 12 p.m. The Congress also conducted a rally near the Gandhi statue outside Parliament, led by Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, calling for the repeal of the three agriculture laws and the MSP guarantee law.
In addition to the Repeal of Agriculture Law Bill, the Government has 26 other bills on its agenda for this Winter Session. As a result, both the BJP and the Opposition have issued whips to their respective MPs, requiring them to attend. Prior to the start of the parliament session, Congress called a conference of opposition parties to plan a strategy. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC), on the other hand, did not show up for the opposition gathering.
