Mumbai: Thane police have issued a lookout notice against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh in a recovery case. The notice has been issued against Senior IPS Param Bir Singh, who has been in controversy for a long time, in connection with a case in which he is accused of recovering Rs 1.25 crore. Let me also tell all of you that the case dates from 2018 to February 2019, when Param Bir Singh was the Police Commissioner of Thane.

Talking to a website recently, Thane Police Commissioner Jai Jeet Singh said, "A lookout circular has been issued against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh in the recovery case.'' At the same time, the police officer also said, "A notice has been issued in the case registered against Singh and 27 others on the complaint of businessman Ketan Tanna at Thane Nagar police station on July 30.''

In the case, businessman Tanna has alleged that when Param Bir Singh was the Thane Police Commissioner between January 2018 and February 2019, the accused had charged him Rs 1.25 crore by threatening to implicate him in serious cases.
