Mumbai: In the case of fraud with more than two dozen banks of ABG Group, Congress has attacked the government on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of the Center. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala accused the central government that there has been an increase in the NPAs of banks in the 7 years of the Modi government. He said that the policy of the central government is to loot the money of the bank and run.
"This is the biggest ever bank fraud incident in which ABG Shipyard Limited and its former Chairman and Managing Director Rishi Kamlesh Agarwal as well as a consortium of banks led by the State Bank of India is accused of committing frauds of over Rs 22,842 crore. Surjewala says that the conspirators are being given the full opportunity to commit fraud.
Randeep Surjewala tweeted, "'₹2,20,00,00,00,00,842 public money has been cheated. He alleged that it was the biggest bank fraud in the country in 75 years under the supervision of the Modi government. In the last 7 years, ₹5,35,000 crore 'bank fraud' has destroyed our 'banking system'' for your information, fraud with banks by ABG Group has broken all records of scams. So far, eight persons have been arrested in the incident. The investigation of the incident has been handed over to the CBI. On the allegations levelled against Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, Randeep Surjewala said it was a well-thought-out conspiracy by the BJP. Five years ago, Charanjit Singh Channi had no name and he brings it up just ten days before the election elections.
