Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, which is also being linked to the upcoming UP assembly elections. Arrangements were made to bring people from Agra and Aligarh divisions to the event. But after the programme, there was chaos on the spot. People broke down for food items so that they found it difficult to handle. A video of the incident is also going viral on social media where people are seen running away with food items.

The video going viral shows a huge crowd gathering and looting the venue after PM Modi's programme. In the meantime, the one who got the goods was seen running away with it. Someone was running away with a bottle of water, while someone carried an oil canister in his hand. Some people were seen running away with breakfast cans.

It may be recalled that a large crowd from dozens of districts had reached the venue at PM Narendra Modi's event which came to UP to lay the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap State University and Defence Corridor. At the local level also, people from far-flung villages were mobilized. The administration had also arranged for all of them to eat. Lunch packets were distributed to all. But in some places, the food packets fell short. This led to the fury of the hungry thirsty people since morning.
